Our Book Fair was a great success! We sold over $3,000 worth of materials! Our portion of the proceeds went to purchase books for our ELA classroom libraries.

A huge thank you to our parent volunteers.

Thank You!

John H. Clifford, president and CEO of the Bank of Fall River, took time from his busy schedule to visit the James Madison Morton Middle School.  John, who values education and who is also an active member on the board of directors for the United Way, donated $1,290 to fund the purchase of a multimedia projector and document camera for the mathematics department.  With the help of document cameras teachers can capture teachable moments.  The hands-on application of such a technology will allow learners immediate feedback on their work.

Vision

Academic excellence is a priority of the Fall River
Public Schools. All students are challenged and
supported to meet and exceed the rigorous
Massachusetts State Standards. We are responsible
for ensuring that all students become literate
thinkers and problem solvers with an enthusiasm
for lifelong learning. Children are nurtured as
individuals with social, emotional, physical and
academic needs.

Learning is not limited to the boundaries of the
classroom. We provide opportunities for children
to explore their interests, broaden their horizons,
and develop their talents and creativity. We respect,
value, and celebrate diverse traditions, beliefs,
and languages. Each person is an individual of
great worth.

Collaboration among staff, parents, and community
members maximizes the resources and support
available to our students. Our school community
shares responsibility for student success. Communication
is key. We believe that everyone should be respected
and that all voices should be heard.

As a school family, we strive to provide a safe, supportive,
and stimulating learning environment. We model and
expect responsible, respectful behavior, and students
are held accountable for their choices
